Welcome to the Southern Catering Project Group - more commonly known as the SCPG. This website contains details of railway wagons and items of plant.

The SCPG was set up by a group of railway enthusiasts keen to preserve railway wagons before they become extinct or - even worse - get scrapped.

The objective of the SCPG is to acquire and restore wagons - particularly examples of more rare types.

This website provides a list of the wagons owned by the SCPG, together with a detailed file on each wagon. Also on the website are details of items of plant owned by the SCPG.

In 2022, the Southern Catering Project Group decided to sell all its wagons. This decision was taken as the facility for maintenance and restoration of wagons was no longer available on the Swanage Railway.
